Cortney Colich

Cortney began her dance career at the age of four. She spent fifteen years of competitive dance at the Dance Shoppe in Plymouth, Minnesota. At this studio, she studied jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, tap, pointe, hip-hop, and Latin styles of dance. She won numerous awards as well as many top places, including a first place at nationals.

Cortney was a 4-year member of the nationally ranked University of Minnesota Dance Team. And captain her senior year. With the University of Minnesota Dance Team, she won a total of six national championships. Cortney and her Minnesota teammates also competed as team USA at the 2010 ICU World Championship, winning gold medals in both jazz and pom. Her experience on the team was one of a kind and she is so fortunate to have been a part of such a hardworking and amazing group of dancers.

In May of 2012, she graduated from the University of Minnesota with a creative advertising degree and a minor in psychology. Professional credits include being a member of Crash Dance Productions, a Minneapolis based Cotemporary Company. This will be Cortney’s fourth year with Innovate Dance. She is extremely thankful to work for such a creative and well-rounded company. She loves the opportunity to share her passion with others.
